Festival of Choral Music

Join us this October as 14 choirs from the Nanaimo choral community come together over 3 days to perform for the sheer joy of singing. It’s not a competition; it’s just a wonderful opportunity for you to explore and be entertained by the richness and diversity of their music.

• Take your pick of any or all of the 6 Festival Concerts on October 16 and 17. Each of these concerts will be about one hour long, with 2 or 3 choirs featured in 15-30 minute mini-concerts.
  

• You won’t want to miss the Gala Concert on October 18, where all 14 choirs will perform both individually and en masse. The massed choir will perform a specially commissioned piece written and conducted by respected BC composer, Larry Nickel. With more than 400 singers, it promises to be a thrilling experience.
